Brotherhood

As men of the Zeta Xi Chapter of Beta Theta Pi here at Truman, we are proud to share one of the strongest Brotherhoods on campus. To us brotherhood means more than just hanging out with your brothers during a weekly meeting or when it's convenient. To the men of Zeta Xi, brotherhood means that we help each other in all aspects of life and show a genuine interest in every brother's well being.

Imagine looking around in a room full of men and realizing that you could approach any of them with a question or in pursuit of help and, with a smile, each one of them would share their honest opinion or do whatever they can to help you. That's the feeling I call Brotherhood.

—Brother Shane Reiser

Brotherhood Dodgeball, Betas at the Rec, and Brotherhood BBQs are just a few of the events we have to strengthen our brotherhood. We also often get together at our house and watch games, such as the Super Bowl, NCAA Championship games, the World Series, or other sporting events. While it's certainly fun to watch games on TV, we also encourage our brothers to support fellow Betas in Intramural events or in other activities or performances in which they might be involved. To a Beta, brotherhood isn't just a word you throw around. Brotherhood is about knowing you have true friends for life.

To me, brotherhood is feeling like I am among family. Even though I am away at school, my brothers make me feel like I am still at home.

—Brother Tom Smith

You may at some point hear one of us say, "Once a Beta, always a Beta, everywhere a Beta!" This isn't just a Beta slogan. It's a statement of our fraternity's time-honored commitment to lifelong brotherhood. Once you become a Beta Brother, you'll know you have friends for life who will care for you no matter where you go.

Pledge Beta Theta Pi and discover a brotherhood that will last a life time.
