The Beta Theta Pi Fraternity Zeta Xi Chapter Alumni Association (Alumni Association) is a registered 501 (C) 3 organization incorporated in the State of Missouri in 2001. Its mission is to provide ongoing support, communication and organization activities to the growing ranks of the Zeta Xi alumni, as well as support leadership development in the undergraduate Zeta Xi Chapter. Typically, annual activities include financial support of leadership development (including travel assistance or scholarships to many of the recognized leadership programs that Beta Theta Pi International puts on each year), assisting the Chapter in the publication of periodic newsletters and the execution of annual Alumni events. This organization is dedicated to keeping the friendships cultivated during your undergraduate years alive and strong, in addition to serving as a reminder of the many ideals upon which Beta Theta Pi is built.
While two distinct organizations, the Alumni Association and Housing Corporation operate in tandem and have roles and responsibilities that often overlap. An annual meeting is held formally each year in conjunction with the Spring Alumni Weekend (usually in early April) where new Board members are appointed and officers elected. The meetings are open to all Alumni in good standing with the Zeta Xi chapter and Beta Theta Pi International organization. Informal meetings are held throughout the year via conference call or at Truman Homecoming as is needed.
Officers are elected to one year terms, while board members are elected to staggered three year terms.
